- IPC media own over 80 ranges of magazine. As they own NME which is a well known music magazine on top of their other magazines it shows they are willing to touch the music market and because they only own one distributor in this market they may be on board with my magazine as NME could get my magazine known( maybe at first my magazine could be attached to NME as a small copy to get my magazine known at first?) - Although NME is targeting a similar audience and using the same music genre that i am going to use as a target for my magazine IPC may offer my magazine to be NMEs "sidekick" with the idea i issued in blue. Although this is a good idea IPC may not publish my magazine due to the fact the two magazines would be competing against one another.
BBC
- The BBC is well known organisation for owning television rights like a T.V licences etc, and magazines! The magazines it publishes range from army info right through to kids T.V show magazines
- As they own so many different variety of magazines targeting different markets and audiences it might be a good idea to show them my magazine as they might be willing to publish a music magazine as they might like to widen their range in the music market.
-BBC America, BBC Entertainment, BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies, BBC HD and UKTV (Australia). In the UK, BBC Worldwide co-owns 10 UKTV channel brands through a joint venture with Virgin Media
News corporation
- The news corporation are global and mainly own newspapers and digital brands; such as the Sunday times, The times and The sun. Times literary supplements, News of the world, News international; also own newspapers etc in other countrys e.g. Australia. USA, and International!
But have also control the television market with Fox! they also have got things in the cable, film and radio market by owning Real restate TV, fox news channel, SunTalk
- As the news corporation haven't yet taken ownership over any magazines this may make them more likely to publish my magazine as they do not own any other music magazines, this would mean less chance of competition between 2 brands of magazines within the company and this would help encourage them to publish my magazine. Because this company has distributors in Tv, radio, Newspapers Internet they can widely get my magazine advertised and well known!
